About this Course

This course provides students with an opportunity to develop listening and speaking skills, enhance structural accuracy, and foster an expansion of everyday English communication skills. Modules 4-6a through 4-6c of this program will help students to interact with audio and/or video clip content in various ways and recognize and practice English collocations. Students will also track new vocabulary from the course and deliver presentations.

    • Workplace Vocabulary Begin 2-week unit - Resolving Work Conflicts (Role Play from Listening Tapes and videos)

    • Additional Time for Individual Conferences re: Stories to tell your children/grandchildren

    • Can, Could, Be Able To (Use in Every day conversation) link attached ***Extra credit notebook***

    • ****NOTEBOOK***Create a Reference Chart with Tips Learned to Resolve Problems on the Workplace - (ex. passive voice; non-accusatory)

    • Practice to perform unique role plays from 2 scenarios

    • Complete Resolving Conflicts vocabulary and use 10 of the words correctly in 10 sentences ***NOTEBOOK**** WEEK 4 GRADE

  • Week 4
    • Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk Breaking News Vocabulary (see below)

    • peer edits: My Story for My Children

    • Complete "Resolving Problems" Role Play-Relevannt to Commander/Sgt. Necessary Conversations

    • Reread the story about Zuckerberg and Musk for details

    • Discussion – related vocabulary from Zuckerberg/Musk story (Pairs/alternating line-up)
