About this Course

Per instructor guidelines, students will:
- Maintain a vocabulary notebook including parts of speech, word forms, and example sentences
- Learn at least 50 of the 100 IELTS Academic Wordlist (List 1) terms
- Read academic journal articles, news articles, and/or case studies and produce summaries
- Produce an in-depth, researched writing project
- Deliver a presentation with visual support and source content while adhering to academic integrity norms
- Deliver impromptu responses to open-ended questions without much obvious searching for expressions
- Produce a summary and analysis of at least one (1) TED Talk
- Integrate advanced grammar accurately into written and verbal production, requiring correction only rarely
