About this Course

This course provides students with opportunities to further develop listening and speaking skills, enhance structural accuracy, and foster an expansion of everyday English communication skills. Modules AE10a-AE10f of this program will help students to refine their structural accuracy and further improve their listening and speaking skills through a variety of instructor-led activities. Students will watch and listen to audiovisual samples and perform related comprehension and critical-thinking extension activities. Students will participate in discussions, lead discussions, and deliver impromptu and/or planned presentations that utilize source content. Students may also deliver mini lessons in a teaching simulation, evaluate sources, practice American English pronunciation, and further practice their verbal paraphrase and summary skills. Instructor and peer feedback provided to students should be analyzed by students in order to increase self-awareness and accuracy.
