About this Course

This course focuses on English reading and writing skills for advanced English learners. Skills covered include the production of a variety of sentence structures with correct grammar and syntax, reading passages and responding to questions, and completing IELTS reading and writing practice activities.

- Role Play: Crime (Police Officer or Accused at the Scene to Convince Officer You Are Innocent)
- Writing Opinions: 3 questions below.
- Sentences with IELTS vocabulary words
- 8:30-10 AM Homework Assignment 06/03/22 due 06/10
WEEK 3
- Activity Preview Vocabulary from "Breaking News" Top Gun and True/False (prove your answers)
- Writing: Paraphrase/Predict what the movie Top Gun: Maverick will be about
- Writing: Using the Theme of Friendship, Summarize friendship between the characters: "Hangman" and "Maverick". See questions:
- Pre-writing assignment on theme: Friendship
WEEK 4
- Conference: Fourth Week: Practice with Proven Improvement of Listed Objectives (see description)
- Google Maps now lets you find fresh air: reading/synonyms/creating sentences
- Partner Work: Identifying Information "Madame Curie" (True/False/Not Given)
- 3-2-1 Evaluation of the session and meeting personal goals
- IELTS Sample Reading Summary Completion selecting from list of words or phrases "This Marvellous Invention"
- Two Paragraphs about Friendship using at least one example from Top Gun: Maverick and stating opinion about what makes a good friend.
